Greater Sacramento Urban League Young Professionals
From the desktop of the President...
Thank you for allowing me to serve you.
I am excited about the year ahead. It is amazing to see how far we have come in the past 10 years since we began this journey. I remember sitting in the GSUL Board room with about 20 other young professionals. We were at the beginning of something new, exciting and full of potential.
This year we must raise the bar.
As an organization the past two years we did some marvelous things. I look forward to the great things we will achieve together. Whether you got on this train 10 stops ago, five stops ago, or on the last stop, know that you are on the right train. We have some challenges ahead. But in the process we are going to change many lives for the better. We are going to develop leaders and we are going to have fun along the way. I look forward to celebrating the last 10 years with you and helping steer the path for the next ten years. As you will see in this newsletter, we have some leadership opportunities open so you too can be involved as a key partner in that journey. Or maybe you would like to join a committee and share your gifts that way. Either way, we welcome your commitment and your passion for the work that we do. I look forward to working with you and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Yours in the Movement,
President, Greater Sacramento Urban League Young Professionals
